Getting invited and setting up

For: Clients Stage: The start of your journey
You'll learn

From your invitation through to a ready-to-use account

Your journey with Innowell usually begins with an invitation from your service. This article walks you through everything from that first email to having your account set up and ready.

Your invitation

Your clinician or service sends you an invitation by email. It introduces Innowell as a private space you'll use together as part of your care, and includes an invite code you'll use to set up your account in the app. If you can't find the email, check your spam folder, and your service can always send it again.

Good to knowIf you don't activate your account straight away, Innowell will send you a friendly reminder to join.

Creating your account

Open the Innowell app, enter your invite code, choose a password, and agree to the privacy policy and terms to create your account.

Good to knowYour invite code is one-time use — it sets up your account. After that, you sign in with your email and password (and a PIN or biometric login if you set one up), not the code.

The set-up walkthrough

Once your account is created, the app guides you through a short set-up. It only takes a few minutes, and you can pause and pick it up later at any point. You'll be welcomed in, then asked for a few details.

First you'll add your name. Your legal name helps your service identify you, and your preferred name is what Innowell will use when it greets you. A progress bar at the top shows how far through set-up you are.

Add your legal name and the preferred name you'd like to be called.

Next you can add and verify a mobile number so you can receive SMS notifications. Enter your number, select “Send code,” then enter the code and select “Verify.” If you'd rather not, choose “Skip for now” — you can add it later from Account Settings.

Verify a mobile number, or choose “Skip for now.”

Then choose how you'd like to hear from Innowell. Email is always on; you can also turn on SMS or WhatsApp if they suit you.

Email is mandatory; SMS and WhatsApp are optional.

Faster sign-in (optional)

To make signing in quicker next time, you can set up a PIN and biometric login (such as Face ID or fingerprint). Your PIN works as a backup for biometric login. If you'd prefer not to right now, choose “Not now.”

Your first questionnaire

To finish setting up, you'll be invited to complete your first questionnaire — a baseline of how you're doing. It takes around 10 minutes, and if now isn't a good time you can select “Complete later.” Your answers are saved as you go.

TipMany people set up and do this first questionnaire together with their clinician in a session. If that feels easier, just ask — there's no expectation to do it alone.
