For: Lead Clinicians / Innowell ChampionsTopic: Enabling your team
You'll learn
Lead Innowell adoption at your site
NoteA lead clinician is often their service's Innowell Champion: the go-to person who helps their team get confident with the platform and keeps adoption on track. This covers what that role involves.
Lead by example
The most powerful thing a Champion can do is use Innowell well themselves, and show the team what it gives them. Being given reminders to login and use Innowell helps, but what builds real confidence is seeing the value in practice.
When you meet with your team, demonstrate the parts that make a difference in a session:
Opening a client's profile before a session and reading their assessment data, so you walk in already knowing what's changed.
Reading the Health Snapshot together to see current needs, risk, strengths, and how things have moved over time.
Using what the data shows to open a conversation with the client, leading with a strength or a change rather than starting from scratch.
Show, don't tell. Walking a colleague through one real, de-identified client's Health Snapshot using your training account can be more effective than encouragement alone. Once a clinician sees how it can help focus a session, the habit often follows.
Good to knowThe Health Snapshot needs at least two completed assessments before it can show change over time. Until then it shows the client's current results as dials. Worth mentioning to your team so they know what to expect early on, and aren't surprised when the graph view isn't there yet.
Supervision is also a natural place to model good use of Innowell. Lead clinicians can see client data across the team, you can review flagged clients together, talk through anyone who may benefit from a closer look, and show how the Health Snapshot can shape the next conversation with a client.
Before training day
Your own training comes first. Your Innowell Partner Success Manager will take you through your roles and responsibilities and how to use the platform, so you're confident before you bring your team on board.
By the time you run live training with your team, you'll usually have:
Completed your own training with your Partner Success Manager, covering roles and responsibilities and how to use the platform.
Communicated with your team and set expectations around training and launch dates.
Invited the clinicians and lead clinicians who will join the service.
Checked those users have registered successfully before the training day.
Agreed workflows with your team, for example using Innowell for triage, and holding regular check-ins about usage and how the team is finding it.
Being the first port of call
Champions are the first person their team turns to with Innowell questions. The aim is to answer quickly where you can, and know when to pass something on.
Good to knowA Champion is not Innowell support. If you can't answer something in a few minutes, escalate it rather than guess: platform issues to Innowell support at support@innowell.org, and configuration or workflow questions to your Partner Success Manager.
Keeping adoption on track
A Champion helps keep Innowell visible and useful in the team's day-to-day work.
Early on: Confirm everyone has been invited with the right role and can log in.
First weeks: Check that clinicians are logging in before sessions and that first clients are in the system.
Ongoing: Run short team check-ins, gather feedback, and share usage highlights with your manager. Innowell can also provide simple feedback form templates to help you capture what is working, where the team may need support, and what could be improved.
