Who can do what in Innowell

NoteInnowell has several roles, and what each can do depends partly on how your service is set up. Roles also stack: most people hold more than one, and more roles means more access.

Permissions are additive

Most people hold more than one role, and roles stack. Someone can be both a Clinician and a Lead Clinician, for example, and they'll have the combined access of both.

The roles

  • Clinician: delivers care to assigned clients. Sees only their own assigned clients, their own clients' notifications, and Insights (Outcomes). Requests and schedules assessments, logs events, and sets goals.
  • Lead Clinician: oversees care across the service. Sees all client profiles, all notifications (everyone who triggers an STB flag), and a Clinicians tab showing how many clients each clinician has. Invites and assigns clients to clinicians, can invite clinicians, and has Insights.
  • Admin: manages the flow of clients into the service. Invites clients, resends expired invitations, discharges, and removes individuals. Sees the client list but not client data, and does not see STB flags, the "I need help" icon, or notifications. No Insights.
  • Manager: manages people and operations. Invites and manages staff (Employees tab: resend invites, revoke), invites clients, assigns clients to clinicians, discharges and removes individuals, and has full Insights. Sees the STB notification list (who triggered, when, and actioned status) but not the row-level icons.

Who can do what

Role Invite Assign Discharge / Remove Notifications Insights Client data
Clinician No (assigned) No No Own clients Yes Yes (own)
Admin Yes No Yes No No No
Lead Clinician Yes Yes Yes Everyone Yes Yes (all)
Manager Yes (staff + clients) Yes Yes List only Yes Per config

NoteSome services adjust the default role mix to fit their workflow. If your setup differs from this, your organisation's configuration takes precedence.
